The Best of Both Worlds

Why Combine Yoga with Massage

Yoga and massage complement each other like yin and yang.

While yoga helps the body to open up, increase range of motion, and better perceive its needs, massage relieves tension and supports regeneration.

Together, they create a harmonious whole that leads to deeper relaxation, improved mobility, and overall balance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I arrive for my scheduled service?

I recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early. This gives your body time to calm down and prepare. If you arrive more than 15 minutes early, the previous treatment might still be in progress.

What should I bring with me?

Just comfortable workout clothes (T-shirt, leggings, sweatpants); we practice barefoot or in socks. For a massage, you’ll keep your underwear on – ideally comfortable ones. I’ll have everything else ready for you (mat, yoga props, drinks).

What if I have health limitations?

We’ll discuss everything important before we start. However, if you know of anything that might affect the treatment, it’s good to inform me in advance so we can find a suitable approach.

Can I come if I have a cold?

It’s better to postpone the treatment. When you have a cold, it could stimulate the lymphatic system and worsen your symptoms.

What if I'm allergic to oils or scents?

Just let me know, and I’ll use alternative products that will suit your needs.

Will the massage hurt?

Only if you want it to. 😊 Everyone has different sensitivities and needs, so I communicate continuously during the massage and can adjust the pressure according to your wishes.

Do I have to be flexible to come?

You don’t. Yoga is about presence, not about putting your feet behind your head. We’ll practice in a way that works for you – and the massage will then help with overall relaxation.

How will the session proceed?

We’ll start with individual yoga – I’ll tailor the practice to your body and how you’re feeling. After a short break, you’ll lie on the massage table for an hour-long massage. The entire session lasts approximately two hours.

Will it be demanding?

Only if you explicitly wish for it to be. I focus on gentle yoga with an emphasis on simple poses – even these can have an unexpectedly strong effect when performed correctly. And proper execution is my main concern. And the massage? That will simply carry you off to calmer waters.

Do I have to talk during the massage?

You don’t have to, but you can. Quiet is welcome, silence is healing – but if you need to lighten something with words, I’ll gladly listen.

What should I do after the yoga and massage combination?

Rest, drink, eat lightly. Usually, a complete release follows – the body feels more flexible, breathing is freer, and your head… like after a holiday. Allow yourself peace and don’t demand anything of yourself.

Can I have tired muscles the next day?

It’s possible – especially if you haven’t exercised in a long time or were very stiff. Mild fatigue is common, usually subsides by the next day, and only a pleasant feeling remains that something has been set in motion.
